With immigration a hot issue in the upcoming U.S. elections, a new video game has launched called ICED which aims to show hardships faced by legal and undocumented immigrants:

Small is big and green is the scene at the New York International Auto Show.

The show unveiled everything from a flying auto to a smashed up car, but small, environmentally-friendly vehicles took the spotlight.


Join the Torchwood Aliens On-Line

The BBC science fiction TV show Torchwood is generating a lot of discussion around its pioneering alternate reality game.

The spinoff from the hit Dr. Who series is engaging with Torchwood fans through an intricate and mysterious set of websites where fans are encouraged to interact with characters from the show to help solve weekly missions.

Reuters Technology Correspondent Matt Cowan visits Cardiff to talk to the people behind the show and the game to learn whether this multi-platform entertainment experience seems like a realistic model for the future of converged media.

Computers Come to Havana

In a sign of new leadership Cuba's Raul Castro has lifted restrictions on computers and other electronic goods.

An internal government memo seen by Reuters said the government "at the highest" level had approved the sale of previously prohibited equipment, including computers, video and DVD players.
